In Honour of our Ancestors.

In 2003, after 10 years work, the Walloon region has compiled an inventory of 25,000 trees. No matter if they are indigenous or exotic, these trees have acquired a status far beyond the fact that they are plants. They belong to our heritage, to our culture. Their “noteworthiness” is determined upon their age, their size, their rarity, but also upon their historical, aesthetic or landscape interest.

Belgische Dendrologie Belge

This association wishes to gather everyone who loves trees and bushes and who wish to learn more about them and grow them. The association also wants to promote the knowledge and culture of trees and bushes amongst a growing public. Its ambition is to contribute to the preservation of ligneous plants in their natural environment and botanical parks.
