Brussels Happiness: 50th Anniversary of Expo 58

2008 will mark the 50th anniversary of Expo 58. A whole lot of events will take place in Brussels to celebrate this event that is embedded in our collective memory.

The inauguration will take place on 17 April 2008 with a top-quality fireworks from the balls of the Atomium. On Saturday 18 October, the eve of the ending of the festivities to celebrate the jubilee of the Atomium, three dance events will be organised on locations with typical 50s-style architecture: the old Midi bus stations, the Brussels La Chapelle stations and the Brussels Congres station.

It will be party time at the Atomium for this jubilee! Programme: major exhibitions. A party will take place, as well as a dance with Belgians who were born in 1958.
