Amay is immersed in an intense folk carnival thanks to the dynamic 'Carn'Ama', which is the organising committee for the festivities. On Saturday wood is being collected to prepare a large fire. The next Friday the keys of the city are handed over for the official opening of the events of Sunday afternoon; there are over 1000 participants to the large carnival procession, thanks to numerous groups and music associations from the area. Monday and Mardi Gras are reserved to balls and animations for children, without forgetting the folk race by the bartenders. The next Saturday, the trial of the "macrale" takes place on the site of the Roman Tower, followed by remarkable fireworks.
