Discover this incredible exhibition of monochrome silk bas-reliefs. A totally new idea at the Musée du Costume et de la Dentelle (Costume and Lace Museum) from 22 June to 23 September 2012
After Geneviève Kesteloot's laces, it's Rose- Marie Noë's turn to let us plunge into her particularly remarkable universe.
Less is more for Rose-Marie Noë, as her sober but touching art demonstrates.
She started with patchwork and then went on to making silk monochrome bas-reliefs. This eternal and spellbinding fabric is coupled with sculpting and stringing techniques, to obtain pieces that are both poetic and enigmatic, such as:
- L'origine du monde (the origin of the world)
- Les Intermittences du cœur (the heart's intermittent beats)
- Les Signes du silence (the signs of silence)
Plunge into the sensual world of silk!
