The market with Christmas traditions. A magical location, a great atmosphere. Can you imagine a better way to find the Christmas spirit in Europe and elsewhere? The different chalets offer the most typical products: from santons from the Provence to Advent crowns from Austria, Switzerland and Ireland. Italian panetones, German Glühwein, Scandinavian glögg, and of course the famous English Christmas pudding can be savoured. There are also other specialties from the Americas. Nice music will be playing and folk groups will perform. Giant Christmas tree in the middle of the square. The Walloon Region will be guest of honour.

Special opening hours for Christmas: 12 pm to 6 pm on 24/12 en 2 pm to 10 pm on 25/12.

Major stops on the illuminated route include the Christmas market, a skating rink, the crib, Christmas tree, bigh wheel and magic roundabouts. On the Grand Place, the " Electrabel Nights " take place. Every half hour you can attend a magnificent sound and light show at the City Hall.

Extra information:

Processions on foot will accompany the public throughout the route, from the Grand-Place to the Marché aux Poissons. They will cover the route once or several times, depending on the procession's specific activities.
Saturdays : barrel organs will be placed along the route, at the various crossroads from the Grand-Place to the Marché aux Poissons.
Choirs will entertain people in the afternoon, on the stage in Place Ste. Catherine.
Concerts will take place on the stage in the Marché aux Poissons.
Street artists throughout the route.
