Discover the biggest flower carpet in Wallonia! Surprising, amazing... in Seneffe, from 24 to 25/08/13!
This year, the floral designer will draw inspiration from the drawings and sculpted motifs of the architect Laurent-Benoît Dewez. The biggest flower carpet in Wallonia will astonish you once again.
And, of course, the permanent collection, the tasting room "The Taste of the Enlightenment" and the castle can all be visited.
Don't forget the outdoor exhibition "Man and Nature" in the park and the photography competition "Seneffe outdoors and with the family".
New for 2013!
A flavour market: tastes and traditions from the region
A market of flavours will be set up with local producers.
The Garden of Three Terraces, and particularly the cubes of greenery, will showcase their produce. This is an opportunity to allow the thousands of visitors to buy and try all the delicacies, both savoury and sweet, which are presented here.
Creative floral workshops
Claude Pohlig and Monsieur Van Schel will offer activities and workshops where you can learn to showcase foliage and flowers to reflect your personality.
Something for the kids
Then, a theatrical production can be found in the park on the theme of "Chaperon bleu" (Little Blue Riding Hood), an unpublished story by Marjolaine Hanssens.
Face painting workshops by the SPJ (regional youth services) will allow children to choose what to turn themsemves into.
And what could be a more charming way to create an 18th century atmosphere than to have people in period costume wandering along the paths and by the lakeside?
