Hello, I'm Guido the dog and I'll be taking you through the website for Persons with Reduced Mobility in Brussels
Two hundred metres of listed glass galleries in the centre of Brussels: the Royal Saint-Hubert Galleries. Boutiques, restaurants and a cinema are all at your disposal.
A little bit of history about the Galleries
The Saint-Hubert Galleries are divided into three parts: the Galerie de la Reine, the Galerie du Roi and the Galerie des Princes. Know as the "Umbrella of Brussels", they are the work of the architect, Jean-Pierre Cluysenaer in 1847.
The Galleries are one of the most loved places by Brussels inhabitants and tourists. Just a stone's throw from the famous Grand Place, in the heart of the capital, amongst boutiques and restaurants, they are visited by more than 6 million people every year who walk under the splendid glass roof that protects the galleries from the Belgian climate.
Did you know? In the past, visitors had to pay to gain access into the galleries. 25 cents on Thursdays and Sundays, 10 cents on every other day of the week. This, of course, is no longer the case these days. Now, you can enjoy the Royal Galleries for free.
The Royal Galleries today
Years pass, but the pleasant atmosphere that comes from the Royal Galleries remains. Walk through and discover various specialised businesses in the European capital.
The galleries house under one glass roof big names and specialised boutiques: haute couture stylists, the old, the new, cutlery, gloves, a hat and umbrella shop, jewellers, book shops, chocolatiers, restaurants, a cinema and a théâtre.
Let yourself be charmed by the most beautiful covered galleries in Europe, the Royal Saint-Hubert Galleries in Brussels.
