In this museum situated in the Hainaut province, times seems to be standing still. More than 40 rooms tell us about what life was like in the past, a time when life was hard.

Classes, mills, agriculture, forge, dairy, craftsmen's workshops describe the life of the past which we discover by means of tools and machinery that are worn away by the many gestures repeated over a thousand times.

A living museum

Beginning of May: farmers' and crafts marker.
Sundays either side of 21 July, the museum hosts: old-style threshing, artisan demonstrations and a harvest supper.
Second weekend of September: Saturday: Journée du Patrimoine (Heritage Day) Sunday: Party at the Museum, with various entertainment.
