In the heart of Waterloo, the Wellington Museum is an old inn that served as the Duke of Wellington's headquarters during the famous battle in 1815.

Your visit of the Wellington Museum
You will visit the museum armed with an audio guide that is available in 8 languages. The 14 rooms bare witness to the events of that historic day: the Duke of Wellington's quarters, French, Prussian, Dutch rooms...
You'll discover uniforms, objects and weapons such as 'la Suffisante' a French canon taken at Waterloo.
For your visit of the museum you will receive an audio guide that is available in 8 languages.
A bit of history
The Duke of Wellington, commander of the allied forces fighting Napoleon's French army, set up his headquarters in this inn on the 17 and 18 June 1815.
After the defeat of Napoleon's army, the Duke wrote the letter to the British government declaring victory in the inn.

Everyday except 1 January and 25 December.
From 1 October to 31 March from 10am to 5pm.
From 1 April to 30 September from 9:30am to 6pm.
Closed at 1:30pm on 24 and 31 December.
