Go on a journey 7000 years back to our past. Rediscover certain distinctive periods of our past, from the Neolithic to the Gallo-Roman era. In this open-air museum, six prehistoric and protohistoric habitats have been carefully reconstructed on the basis of the plans of archaeological excavations; all the objects put on display are meticulous duplicates of original pieces found during different archaeological excavations. The Gallo-Roman period is marvellously represented by a temple and its portico as well as a necropolis and a villa. This year, the Gallo-Roman trail has been completed by the reconstruction of a Gallo-Roman boat typical for river navigation in Gaulle. (The original is located at the Gallo-Roman museum of Ath).

Guided tours for groups by appointment only (20-40 pers.).
Charge for the guide for less than 20 persons.
Languages : FR, NL, EN, DE.
Duration of the visit : 1 or 2h, depending on the modules.
Adapted visits, special kindergarten days.
Possibility of demonstrations (forgery, bread making, pottery, coin making, fire, colouring of tissue and weaving), duration of the demonstrations : 30 min.
Organization of workshops (Roman cooking, nature visit, bread making, Palaeolithic painting, Roman painting, weaving, pottery, archaeology initiation, writing).
