Sohier presents a quality and homogeneity in its traditional and well kept or renovated houses, of which thirteen are farmhouses. The majority of the dwellings go back to the 19th century and are built in limestone. The lay out of the street area is an invitation to discovery following the arrangement of the traditional buildings and their outbuildings, decorated doorsteps opening out onto the street, in an area well kept and lovingly cared for… The castle, the school and the presbytery further enhance and punctuate the harmony typical of the street-area.

In accordance with a French initiative, the association "Les Plus Beaux Villages de Wallonie" created in 1994 crowns the most beautiful country sites of Wallonia with its label.
