At the heart of the Walloon province of Brabant, the Cistercian abbey of Villiers unveils 850 years of history and workmanship. Open all year
Take a walk around the Abbey, captivating both for its architecture and its green setting, a combination of exception in the Belgian heritage.
Discover how monks lived in the Abbey in the Middle Ages. The visit will unveil parts of their everyday life punctuated with prayer and work.
Take part in the many events that bring the ruins back to life!
Starting from 22 June 2012: the Abbey's Garden
Come and visit a garden with a mediaeval atmosphere about it. The garden is sponsored by Yves Rocher, the naturally French beauty products.Settled in an intimate and enclosed space, the Abbey's Garden has been rebuilt just like an ancient mediaeval medicinal garden with no fewer than 70 different plants.
Awaken your senses and stroll around this garden with clearly defined lines and rounded edges.
