Discover the typical places in the eastern forest of Hertogenwald. You will see broad-leaved tree species such as alders, pubescent birches, sorbs, and where the soil permits it, beeches and even oaks. In these conifer woods, you can find stags, deer, boars, but also less common species such as the wildcat, the marten and the Tengmalm's owl. In Duret, you reach the plateau of the Hautes-Fagnes who has the status of nature reserve. On your way back, along the Fossé d'Eupen, at the place known as Robinette 618, you can admire a plantation of sessile oak trees from 1993 and a bit farther, at Robinette 615, a beautiful group of old oaks. After you have crossed the stream of the Fossé d'Eupen, you return to the parking of Drossart.
