THE FAGNES AND LAKES TRAIL
Malmedy is the departure point of this trail. Not far from Bévercé, the itinerary progressively meanders and climbs. You arrive at the station of Mont-RIGI. Close to the crossroads there is a welcoming and information centre. You reach the Baraque Michel (675 m). At the Gileppe dam, you can take the tour of the lake on foot or by mountain bike. It's really extraordinary. The road goes to Eupen, pay it a visit and continue towards Montjoie. After about 9 km the trail reaches Elsenborn and the Robertville dam, and Nidrum, a village that lightly slopes towards Warche and Bütgenbach and its lake. After the Steinbach crossroads, you will enter the Amblève valley. Born and Falise bring you back to Malmedy.
