100 years ago, in August 1914, the conflict between France and Germany took on a global dimension with the invasion of the province of Liège and the attack on its forts. |
70 years ago, in December 1944, the battle of the Bulge, the final battle of the Second World War on belgian soil, raged in the provinces of Luxembourg, Namur and Liège. |
Already 200 years ago, on the 18 June 1815, a battle that was to change the course of European history took place on the fields of Waterloo. |
