The Flower contests in the Walloon Region:
Entente Florale Europe
This international contest was created in 1982 by the organisation AEFP (Association Européenne pour le Fleurissement et le Paysage), with the support of the AIPH (Association Européenne des Producteurs de l’Horticulture). Currently there are 12 participating countries that each delegate a city and a village. For Wallonia, Sohier won the silver medal in 2006 and Floémont was candidate in 2007. Malmedy already was awarded two prizes, Houffalize and Blehen have already obtained the gold medal.

Challenge « Luxembourg, province propre et fleurie »
Contest organised by the Tourist Federation of Belgian Luxemburg in which some fifty villages and cities participate.
Tourism Federation of the Province of Liège
In the province of Walloon Brabant
The environmental service of the province organises a contest in which 27 towns of the province participate. Each town consists of different villages.

10 villages on the 29 towns that are member of the association participate to this contest.
Flowery façades contest
With the financial support of the APAQW, the Association Royale des Professionels de l’Horticulture (ARPH) gives the plants the first year for free to the towns or villages that won. The 6 towns or villages are selected by the Ministre at the suggestion of the ARPH.
