Surrounded by extensive fenced grasslands, the village is seated on the summit of a promontory dominated by an impressive church.The use of bricks for the walls and of slates for the rooftops, of stone for the window frames and corner ties characterizes the architectural identity of the village.

With the intention of judiciously contrasting with the simplicity of the constructions, the slates are the subjects of continuous and inventive ornamental experimentation. As for the plethora of weather vanes dominating the rooftops, they bear witness to the craft of ironwork practised with much art and talent.

The association "Les Plus Beaux Villages de Wallonie"

Created in 1994 and inspired by the French equivalent, the association "Les Plus Beaux Villages de Wallonie" awards its label to the most beautiful countryside sites of Wallonia.
