Town of Vresse-sur-Semois (Province of Namur) Ardenne

This village is situated on the left bank of the Semois River, in the middle of cultivated land where erstwhile tobacco fields spread.

Concentrated around two parallel streets hemming the church in, are small farmhouses with tripartite façades, built from schist from the local quarries. The door and window frames display wood, stone or brickwork.

Each extremity of the village is punctuated by a listed watering place with the added charm of a washing-place.

The association "Les Plus Beaux Villages de Wallonie"

Created in 1994 and inspired by the French equivalent, the association "Les Plus Beaux Villages de Wallonie" awards its label to the most beautiful countryside sites of Wallonia.

Also discover a small 1779 church with a ceiling painted by Londot, old pigsties, a forge dating from 1180. Every year a traditional fair is organised during the weekend before or after 21 July.
