Sohier presents a quality and homogeneity in its traditional and well kept or renovated houses, of which thirteen are farmhouses. The majority of the dwellings go back to the 19th century and are built in limestone.

The layout of the street area is an invitation to discovery following the arrangement of the traditional buildings and their outbuildings, decorated doorsteps opening out onto the street, in an area well kept and lovingly cared for... The castle, the school and the presbytery further enhance and punctuate the harmony typical of the street-area.

The association "Les Plus Beaux Villages de Wallonie"

Created in 1994 and inspired by the French equivalent, the association "Les Plus Beaux Villages de Wallonie" awards its label to the most beautiful countryside sites of Wallonia.
