Massed on the Southern slope of a rocky ridge, this village clings on to the slope before descending towards a brook winding its way through moist meadows.

It is a magnificent example of the architectural style practised in the Condroz area during the 18th and 19th centuries and presents us with a remarkable sensation of overall harmony, which is even more enhanced by conversions perfectly integrated into the traditional constructions.

The street area, punctuated by small outbuildings and annexes is open and intrinsically rural in character. The grey and black tints of the limestone and slates dominate the over-all colour scheme.

The association "Les Plus Beaux Villages de Wallonie"

Created in 1994 and inspired by the French equivalent, the association "Les Plus Beaux Villages de Wallonie" awards its label to the most beautiful countryside sites of Wallonia.
