Listed as a UNESCO world heritage site, Thuin belfry offers an unforgettable visit from start to finish, with a magnificent view, all its history, a film...
Follow the guide! You will discover the belfry's carillon of 25 bells as well as the large main bells, affectionately called Maria and Paula.
At the top of the 40m belfry, the 4 niches offer an exceptional panoramic view of the valleys of the Sambre and Biesmelle. You will also get a chance to admire the remarkable architecture of this building which dates back to the 17th century.
Do you want to know more about the craftsmen and women who worked tirelessly to restore the belfry? A film will recount the works that took a year and trilingual signs (French, Dutch and English) round of the history lesson and that of its companions on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
