Situated at an altitude of 320 metres in the Masblette valley, this arboretum of forest trees was created in 1899 in the local forest of St-Michel at a place called the "Taille Boreux". This is one of the richest arboretums in the country, with 67 species of conifer and 37 broad leaved species, including several species of fir (Abies grandis, Abies procera) and Douglas firs. The fine green beech is the largest in the arboretum. The outstanding Tsuga heterophylla is one of the largest in Belgium. There is also a very tall Pseudotsuga menziesii. The arboretum, within a 3 km educational trail, was renovated in 1995 with the introduction of new species, the creation of new paths and the installation of information boards.
