LA GRANDE TRAVERSEE DES FAGNES
A bit further along from the Nature Centre of Botrange, after having crossed the national road we immediately find a path. Past the village of Sourbrodt, the Pont de Bosfagne (bridge) is the point of departure for numerous walks. After a slope, we go into this sanctuary where the Walloon Fagne meets the Cléfaye Fagne. We then descend towards the "Herzogenhügel", where we find a complete change of scenery. Down in the valley we meet up with la Helle. To get to the Haus Ternell we cross a section of the Hertogenwald. There you have 2 options waiting: you continue the itinerary (40 km in total) or you return the same way you came.

Comment:

Point of departure is on the car park of the Nature Centre of Botrange. The path is located opposite the road. This 16,5 km walk takes you along to the Haus Ternell. It can take up to a day, with a long slope when you return. We recommend you to use a mountain bike or a trekking bike, because some of the sections are metalled or covered with mud.
