This museum is without any doubt one of the richest museums in Belgium. Its Gallo-Roman section (galerie lapidaire) is unique in its genre in terms of quality and quantity of exhibits: more than 425 sculptures from funerary monuments and public buildings are on display.
The Museum of Arlon holds the country's best collection of Roman sculptures and an impressive collection of pottery and other objects from the Gallo-Roman civilisation. The museum also consists of a prehistoric section (currently under construction) and magnificent Frankish collections.
Closed on 1/11, 11/11 and during the Christmas holidays.
Guided tours, on request only, for groups (15-25 pers.).
Library open from Tuesday to Friday.
Entry ticket combined with the Gaspar Museum.
Accessible for disabled persons.
Access: By road, follow the E411 and E25, then take exit 31 or the N4.
By train, go to Arlon station and take a local bus into town (line 26) or walk (10 minutes).
