The Gaspar Museum gets its name from a family from Arlon, whose most famous member is no doubt Jean-Marie Gaspar (1861-1931). After a few romantic realisations he has become a renowned animal sculptor. In this way he made amongst others the deer "L'appel de la forêt" (The call of the forest), as well as the "jass" soldier of the great war. The museum is also home to the offices and important library of the archaeological institute of Luxemburg.
It also houses some bronze statues, and numerous works of art from plaster. The museum equally has a section dedicated to some paintings of some artists from the province. But its masterpiece is undoubtedly the famous altarpiece of Fisenne, work of art from the school of Antwerp at the beginning of the 16th century.
