An Elegant Riverside Town

Namur is the capital of Wallonia and stands only some 60km from Brussels. It has managed to maintain its peaceful and historical charm throughout the centuries.

The centre of town can be visited on foot in no hurry at all, in fact why not at snail's pace? The snail just happens to be the city's symbol! Intricate alleys intertwine along the Sambre and the Meuse, at the foot of a hill and its emblematic The Citadel of Namur. Following this route, you won't miss the Félicien Rops museum (Félicien Rops Museum) among others, and why not take a break at a terraced restaurant or stop and shop!

The city and its history can be discovered in five itineraries.

For a fun ride, hop on the tourist train (The Citadel of Namur) that crosscuts the city.

Craving for beautiful landscapes? No better choice than a ride on a river-boat to animate your visit with a special atmosphere along the river Meuse.
