The Museum of Photography in Charleroi is situated in Mont-sur-Marchienne in a former convent and has a collection of 80,000 photographs, of which 800 are permanently exhibited.

The museum organises temporary exhibitions on a regular basis, with around 3 exhibitions every 4 months, ensuring that visitors can return to the museum often and experience something new each time.

More than just a museum

Over 13,000 titles and 4,000 files dedicated to photography are accessible to the public in the Museum of Photography library.

The museum boutique offers you museum publications, photography works, gadgets and lots of different ideas for decoration and gifts.

To quench your thirst or for a little snack, the museum café awaits you in a peaceful setting. There, you can choose from a wide range of sandwiches, salads and pasta dishes.

Closed on Mondays, 25 December and 1 January.
