In the heart of Liege, the Museum of Walloon Life presents to you the history and the lives of Walloons from the 19th century to the present day!
The museum welcomes you in the stunning buildings of the 13th century convent of the Friars minor, which have been lovingly and expertly renovated.
Life in Wallonia is explained through a diverse number of themes and a beautiful collection of objects and pieces.
The permanent exhibition about Walloon life
The permanent exhibition on Walloon life from the 19th century to the present day is unveiled through a route divided into 5 main themes: Wallonia, Technical revolutions, Living together, Day after day and Spiritual life.
A precise and exquisite scenography displays the objects brilliantly while combining old and contemporary items.
The Museum of Walloon Life is also:
- A rich documentation centre situated in the Chamart house next to the museum,
- A genuine puppet theatre (that Liege is so famous for),
- exhibitions and numerous events such as summer concerts,
- a shop and an Espace Saveurs (restaurant area), where you can taste delicious local specialities
- visits and activities that have been adapted for all ages and publics.
